HG 1/144 Exia R2 Metallic Ver. Review

 PICT0431

Okay this my very first Gunpla ever, it wasn't hard to get this at all (got it at the mall).
Thou it's weird how the hell did it got to Philippines?

PICT0434

The kit come with 4 runners and a huge sticker sheet(which i forgot add to in this photo), mostly in pearl type plastic, but the are two note worthy bling this kit.

PICT0436
All the gray part are switched in gun metal, you might not see it, but much more metal-looking in person.

PICT0485
Nice!
And all the clear parts are molded in clear green, didn't expect this from Bandai since they cheap out at times.
Now to the model itself.

PICT0441
The model is accurate as it can get to the anime.
Thou the sticker kinda ruin the look, but i remember this is a straight-build.
I do straight-build on special model kits.

PICT0444
For articulation  it can put off nice poses with ease, but the arms are a disappointment, since it can only do a 95-degree bend.

PICT0449
As you can see, since there isn't really a skirt on the model it can pull off some weird ass poses.
(And yes i split the front skirt piece for more movement)

PICT0453
And for accessories: first off in the GN tooth pick. Can' believe bandai gave astraea beam effect part, but non for exia.

PICT0442
GN shield. As you can see there's a big ass sticker on it, kinda makes the model look chessy.

PICT0459
PICT0468
GN short & long sword. at least these things look decent than the beam saber.
(And yes it still comes with the mounting mechanism)

And last but not the least.

PICT0484
The GN sword Kai, i really consider this alot  better than the original GN sword.

PICT0471
Think exia would be destroyed by 0 gundam, this time?
I gonna some kick outta this set up.
PICT0492
Yes,it comes with the original GN sword. Which is nice
Now for the pros and con of the kit.

Pros
Has a great range of motion.
Color accurate even without the stickers
Has a plenty of accessories.
Clear Green parts! >: D

Cons
Has too many stickers.
Comes with a toothpick instead of a beam effect part.
Beam saber handles keep falling the of the legs.

Well i highly recommend this, even if it isn't metallic ver.rather than getting exia, this is way better then, plus you can still build the original exia.
that's it for my review of Exia R2 Metallic ver.

As you can see my camera skill are not that good, so don't rant against me for having un-sturdy hands

So this is menroko signing out~

  3. Good day sir.
I chanced upon your blog, and maybe I could comment on a few things here.

    > how the hell did it got to Philippines
^ Bandai has Bankee Trading as local arm, which then is the distributor for Toys-R-Us and Toy Kingdom, the appointed local stores that carry legit Bandai items.

Thus it will get to the PHL eventually.

    > blurry photos
    > bad camera
^ maybe you'd want to do it on brighter lighting, avoiding the use of the flash, and being a bit more steady-handed... which means less hand exercises *wink wink*.

    > accumulation
    What accumulation?

Please write more articles, it gives you more stuff to let us read, and also makes you practice your written language skills a bit more, improving your capabilities.

    Thank you!
